Welcome to Great Spirit Archery Traditional Bow Company where we aim to preserve the ancient art of archery. Dating back to the stone age virtually every part of the globe has a history with bow and arrows. Countless tales and legends involving the bow have been told throughout time. One of the most ancient weapons in history the power of the bow has been acknowledged in mythology, religion and cultures all around the world. From hunting to warfare traditional archery has developed in many different ways. Depending on the time and purpose several styles of bows have come about in order to perfect this ancient art. At Great Spirit Archery we want to keep these skills alive and flourishing. Traditional archery relies on instinct and extreme focus. Japanese samurai used the bow to practice Zen. Native American tribes where known for there skillfulness with the bow on horseback. Gods, goddesses and warriors using the bow are found in many stories. By providing traditional archery equipment we hope to bring people closer to nature and back in focus while developing a level of skill and technique that has been cherished through the ages.
